Kensington Si300 Laser Wired Mouse
$30.00
Released September, 2009
The Pros:Tracking is fast, accurate and responsive - lacks the potential intermittence and "jumpiness" of lower-end wireless and optical mice. Fits very comfortably within the hand - pear-shaped design contours ergonomically to the user's hand for extensive use. Excellent option for Mac users - provides a much cheaper alternative to official Apple mice.
The Cons:Scroll wheel performs rather poorly - requires an unnecessary amount of effort to scroll through long pages and documents. Seemingly prone to malfunction within 1-2 years of use - many users report eventual loss of USB connectivity with regular use. Bottom-mounted sliding pads may be of inconsistent thickness - users might have to manually adjust this with adhesive tape or something similar.
