LG LSM-100

The LG LSM-100 is a “scanner mouse” unveiled at CES 2011. The first of its kind, the device functions as a mouse, but it also hosts an integrated 300-dpi scanner on its bottom side. This means users can just press a button and then roll the mouse over a document to scan it.

Also included as per the scanning function are five LEDs on the bottom for lighting the image reflected, dual lasers also on the bottom for capturing text from any direction, and an included software package for translating scanned images into editable text on a PC. Other than that, the LG LSM-100 is essentially a standard mouse with left/right/back buttons and a scroll wheel.
