Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 7000
$70.00
Released September, 2007
The Pros:Unconventional profile shape is more natural-feeling than most standard mice - promotes a comfortable resting position for the user's wrist. Laser sensitivity is noticeably more precise than most optical mice - provides smooth, consistent tracking on a wide variety of surfaces. Scroll wheel is smooth and easy to use - default "Instant Viewer" function provides quick scanning of a full webpage for instant assessment.
The Cons:USB transceiver sticks out more than similar wireless units from Logitech - not recommended for intensive mobile/laptop use. Scroll wheel double-clicking is somewhat difficult - requires an uncomfortable amount of pressure to achieve a functional prompt. Buttons may begin to "squeak" over time - sure to cause frustration amongst users who spend a lot of time on the computer.
