The Microsoft Wireless Notebook Presenter Mouse 8000 is a battery-operated, ergonomic wireless laser mouse that connects to a Windows PC via a Bluetooth USB transceiver. It relies on 2.4GHz Bluetooth technology to transfer signals from the mouse, to the receiver, and right into the heart of the computer.

Core to the 8000 is its high-definition laser technology, which is a grand-step up from optical in that it is more precise and responsive. And since it does function off a battery, a convenient on/off switch is included on the mouse to help further extend the battery life — which on two fully charged AA batteries is 3 months. Additional features include 4-way scrolling, a carrying case, and an ergonomic design meant to prevent carpal tunnel syndrome.
